Certified Finance Trading Programme (FTP)

The Certified Finance Trading Programme (FTP)

TTC provides universities with a high-level structured programme of education in financial markets skills and practices that prepares Undergraduate and Postgraduate students for the future of world of work.

A range of undergraduate and graduate-level Modules are available and together form The Finance Trading Programme (FTP). Depending on the type of course being offered, the University can pick Modules independently that fit in with the student’s studies and the knowledge content of their academic courses. The idea is that the FTP offers enhanced understanding of the academic course material through real-world application and practical work.

The Structure of the FTP Modules

The FTP Modules are designed to be taught over specific periods of time that fit in with the University timetable and Curriculum. For example, if the FTP is being taught over a full academic year with three-semesters, then five Modules can be taught over the 10-week period of each semester, totalling 15 Modules by year end. Several hundred students can be involved in undertaking the FTP Module classes as the classes last for 2-3-hours and can be repeated throughout a two-week period depending on the size of the classroom facilities and the number of students.

"I chose to study the Finance Trading Programme (FTP) as I wanted to get a more hands-on approach on complex financial topics. During normal lectures, we don’t have the time to see whether the theories we learn are applicable to the real world, and if they are, how. The Trading Programme provides me with the practical tools that I will need in the real world to analyse the markets and based on that, take trades." - MSc Investment and Finance Student
